Privacy Policy

Smew AI (smew.ai) is run by YunHe, an individual operator based in Hong Kong, who is responsible for your personal data. Contact: support@smew.ai.

What we collect

• Account details: your email address and name. If you sign in with Google we receive only your name, email address and profile picture.
• What you upload and type: photos, video clips and sounds you add, and the prompts you write.
• Your results: the videos and images we make for you.
• Purchases: what you bought, when, and its status. Card details go directly to Stripe; we never see or store your card number.
• Usage and device data: pages visited, actions such as starting a creation, IP address, browser type and approximate location, used for security, abuse prevention and improving the site.
• Cookies: a sign-in cookie, a cookie for a time-limited offer, and analytics cookies where enabled.

Google sign-in

Signing in with Google only logs you in. We never request access to your Gmail, Drive, Photos, contacts or other Google data. Google account data is used only to create and access your account; it is never used to generate images or videos, never used to train AI models, never sold and never shared except as needed to run the service. Our use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

Why we use it

To make your videos and images, run your account and credits, take payments, answer support requests, keep the service safe (including screening prompts and photos for prohibited content), and understand how the site is used so we can improve it. We rely on performing our contract with you, our legitimate interest in running a safe service, and your consent where required (for example for analytics cookies).

Who processes it

We share data only with providers that help us run Smew AI, under their own privacy and security terms:

• AI model providers (through APIMart and the model makers it connects to, such as ByteDance, Kuaishou, Google, OpenAI, Alibaba and MiniMax) receive your uploads and prompts only to generate your result.
• Cloudflare hosts the site and stores your uploads and results.
• Stripe processes payments.
• Google (sign-in, and analytics where enabled) and our email provider for account emails.

These providers may process data outside Hong Kong. We don't sell your personal data.

How long we keep it

• Uploaded photos, clips and sounds: up to 30 days, then deleted automatically.
• Results: until you delete them in your Library or close your account.
• Account and purchase records: while your account is open, and purchase records as long as tax and accounting law requires.

Your choices and rights

You can delete results in your Library at any time. You can ask us to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, or object to some uses, by writing to support@smew.ai. You can also complain to your local data protection authority, in Hong Kong the Office of the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data.

Children

Smew AI is not meant for anyone under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their data. Never upload photos of a child without the permission of their parent or guardian.

Security

We use encrypted connections, private storage with short-lived links for your files, and limited access to personal data. No service is perfectly secure, so please keep your sign-in details safe.

Changes

We may update this policy; the date above shows the latest version.
