Which photo works best?

You need one photo: yourself for Garage, your pet for Pet.

  • Garage: stand facing the camera with your full body visible from head to shoes, face forward and arms away from your sides. The dance happens in your photo's location, so to match the trend's empty parking garage aesthetic, shoot your photo in a parking garage. You keep your outfit.
  • Pet: a clear photo showing the entire animal with its face visible. The photo determines fur colors and patterns.
  • Use your own photo, a photo of a consenting adult, or your own pet. Never use a child, celebrity or stranger.

Where did the BbY WOW Dance trend start?

The dance launched on TikTok on 24 August 2026, when @bigbowee posted two friends performing it with a red cup, captioned "Dime dime baby", words from the song's hook. By 14 October that clip reached 15.3 million views. Around the same time, videos of the creator Maestro Shifu performing these moves went viral, and many tutorials attribute the dance to him, leading people to call it the Shifu dance. Throughout September, friends, coworkers and dance schools recreated it: @khristelaldama's trio surpassed 14 million views, and @singsingaduck's slowed, mirrored tutorial got 4.5 million. On 9 October KAROL G posted herself performing the dance with her crew.

AI versions appeared quickly. On 15 September @weendycruzmx posted two AI-generated cats performing the routine in a shopping mall (391,500 views by 15 October). An older party video resurfaced in October with the song: a young man at a quinceañera bites sweet bread, stares at the camera with bulging cheeks and dances away. Green screen templates of this "bby wow guy" meme appeared on 12 and 13 October. By 14 October, #bbywow counted 109,241 TikTok videos and 848.5 million views.

The BbY WOW Dance prompts

You don't need these: the one-tap workflow runs them automatically, along with the trend clip. [Image 1] and [Image 2] are your two photos, and [Video 1] is the trend clip your video replicates.

Video prompt

Replace the character in the video with the person from the uploaded image. Keep actions, poses, facial expressions, camera movement and rhythm. Preserve the person's original facial features, maintain character consistency, no distortion, no glitches, no artifacts. The person dances in the place from the uploaded image, in the clothes and shoes from the uploaded image, not the black T-shirt, the black shorts or the white socks of the dancer in the video, and keeps their own hair from the uploaded image. Follow the dancer's moves and timing exactly: the bouncy palms-up shrug, one arm and then the other slicing across the chest, the body roll with the hands low at the hips, both hands held on the head, then a few steps toward the camera and a playful point right at the lens. Keep the whole body in view until the last steps, with natural balance and stable ground contact. Exactly one person, no other people. One continuous shot, no cuts, no text, no captions, no logos.

Image 1 replaces the cat in the black backwards cap on the left who dances upright on its hind legs, in every shot, also when it turns to the side or its back is to the camera. Keep the pet's face shape, ears, fur colors, fur length and markings from image 1, on the whole body, the head, the legs and the tail, not those of the cat in the video. The pet wears the same black backwards cap. The pet keeps the natural body volume and proportions of its own animal: never flattened, squashed, stretched or merged with anything. If image 1 shows a dog or another animal, that animal takes the same place, standing upright on its hind legs and doing the same paw moves, with its own ears and muzzle. The cat with the pink flower on the right stays exactly as in the video, with its own face, in every shot. Keep the shopping mall, the shiny stone floor, the ceiling lights, the dance moves, the motion and the camera exactly as in the video.

Garage or Pet: which one should you make?

The BbY WOW trend has two concepts, and the versions correspond to them.

  • Garage is the dance routine itself, the dime dime baby dance that friends and coworkers record everywhere. This is what the BbY WOW dance challenge refers to, so choose it for the choreography. Shoot in a parking garage, hallway or empty street for your photo, and it matches the TikTok videos.
  • The quince meme is the bby wow guy dance, also called the guy dancing at quince meme: one sweet bread, one stare, one exit. It works best with an expressionless face, so send it to friends who attend every party for the snacks. It has a dedicated page, with vertical and square formats: the Bby Wow Guy meme.
  • Pet is the BbY WOW cat video featuring your own animal. Cats resemble the reel most closely; dogs perform the same choreography standing upright.

Caption ideas: "When the DJ plays BbY WOW", "Me at the quince I was not invited to", "My cat when the food bowl is full", "Dime dime baby". Or create your own.

More dance trends: the Toc Toc dance and the Bad Times trend operate the same way from a single photo.

Which sound and hashtags should you post it with?

Your clip includes the BbY WOW sound from the clip each version replicates, so it's posting-ready. The sped-up version is the sound of the bby wow meme, available on its dedicated page. You can mute the song on the result screen and add a different sound when posting. The song is owned by its copyright holders, and Smew AI grants you no rights to it. Music regulations vary by platform, so review them before using the clip in ads or sponsored content.

Hashtags: #bbywow is the primary one, with 109,241 TikTok videos and 848.5 million views on 14 October 2026. Many BbY WOW TikTok posts also include #babywow and #maestroshifu, and posts about the BbY WOW KAROL G trend add #karolg. The same tags apply to Instagram Reels. Keep the platform's AI disclosure on.

FAQ

BbY WOW Dance trend questions

What is the BbY WOW trend?
It's a TikTok trend from late August 2026: people perform a brief dance to "BbY WOW" by KAROL G, Judeline and rusowsky, featuring a palms-up shrug, slicing arms, hands on the head and pointing at the camera. A second variation, the bby wow guy meme, overlays the song on an old quinceañera party video. By 14 October 2026, #bbywow reached 109,241 TikTok videos and 848.5 million views.
Who started the BbY WOW dance?
The earliest major video is from @bigbowee, posted on 24 August 2026 with the caption "Dime dime baby" (15.3 million views by 14 October), which explains why it's also called the dime dime baby dance. Many tutorials attribute the choreography to the creator Maestro Shifu, and Maestro Shifu BbY WOW videos went viral simultaneously, so people also search for the Shifu dance.
Is it BbY WOW or Baby Wow?
Both work. The song title appears as BbY WOW, but many people search for the Baby Wow dance, the Baby Wow trend or a Baby Wow dance tutorial, and the Baby Wow meme for the quinceañera video. It's the same Baby Wow dance trend, and on TikTok #babywow is also common. Some refer to it as the Baby Wow KAROL G trend.
What is the bby wow guy meme?
A brief clip from a quinceañera party: a young man dances toward the camera, bites sweet bread, chews with puffed cheeks while staring into the lens, then turns and dances away into the crowd. The clip originally circulated in June and July 2025 and resurfaced in October 2026 with the BbY WOW song, as the guy dancing at quince meme. To insert yourself into it, visit the [Bby Wow Guy meme](/templates/bby-wow-guy-ai-trend) page: it offers vertical and square versions and the clip's backstory.
How do I make the BbY WOW dance AI video?
Press "Create your own", select Garage or Pet, and upload one clear photo of yourself or your pet. Press Generate; the button displays the price first. You receive a BbY WOW AI video of approximately 9 to 10 seconds with the song. No prompt writing needed, and the video appears in your Library when complete.
Do I have to learn the dance first?
No. No BbY WOW dance tutorial required: the Garage version performs the complete routine from a single photo, from the shrug through the camera point, so you never record yourself.
Can my cat or dog do the BbY WOW dance?
Yes. Select Pet. It replicates the most-viewed BbY WOW cat reel, by @weendycruzmx: your pet stands upright in a shopping mall dancing alongside a white AI cat. Cats match the reel most closely; dogs or other pets perform the same choreography upright.
Where does the background of my video come from?
Garage preserves the location from your photo: Kling 3.0 Motion Control transfers only the movements, so shoot your photo in a parking garage to match the trend's aesthetic. Pet maintains the shopping mall from the AI cat reel, because your pet enters that video.
Will the people from the original clips be in my video?
Nobody replaces you. Garage transfers only the movements from a solo dance video, so that dancer never appears. Use your own photo or a photo of a consenting adult, never a child, celebrity or stranger.
Is it the same as the BbY WOW dance challenge?
Garage is the BbY WOW dance challenge choreography that people post on TikTok. The BbY WOW AI trend includes your pet performing the moves, and the quince guy meme has a dedicated page.
Which AI models make the videos?
Garage uses Kling 3.0 Motion Control: it transfers the movements from a solo dance performance to the person in your photo, at 720p in your photo's aspect ratio. Pet uses H3 Recast, which inserts your pet into the AI cat reel.
What prompt does the BbY WOW trend use?
No trend creator published a prompt, and AI template apps don't disclose theirs. The Garage version uses the Motion Control recreate prompt from the model's native app, plus a few lines preserving your appearance; Pet uses our prompt in the same proven style as our other reel recreations. You don't write any prompt.
How long is the video and what format is it?
Garage produces approximately 9 seconds at 720p in your photo's aspect ratio, so a vertical photo yields a vertical clip. Pet produces 10 seconds, vertical 9:16. All are MP4 files with the song, with no watermark.
