What happens in the gas station dance, moment by moment?
Your video runs 15 seconds from the original, filmed on a phone in two handheld segments, with your photos filling the three roles:
| Seconds | What happens | Who |
|---|---|---|
| 0 to 4 | At an empty lot beneath a wide sky, the dancer moves to the music, then raises both arms overhead. | Photo 1 |
| 4 to 6 | Camera pivots to a selfie: the second person smiles and waves, with the station visible behind. | Photo 2 |
| 6 to 7.5 | Cut to two parked vehicles. A door opens and the third person exits. | Photo 3 |
| 7.5 to 12 | Close-up: the third person gazes at the camera with hair blowing, then smiles. | Photo 3 |
| 12 to 15 | The third person stands between both vehicles and dances briefly. | Photo 3 |
The original runs 17.6 seconds. It concludes with the camera returning to the selfie person, who mouths the words with closed eyes. We finish on the car person, preserving the full 4 seconds of opening dance in a 15-second video.
Three versions. "3 friends" uses three photos, one for each role, in the sequence above. "Just you" uses one photo and casts you in all three roles: you dance, record the selfie and exit the car. "Mop dance" is the alternate gas station dance from October 2026, the mop dance trend: one photo, and you exit a dark car at a nighttime gas station and perform the mop dance on the empty pavement, 15 seconds, recreated from an AI video by @dr.gabagoo.
